This photo was taken by none other than Giel Vlugt. We decided to travel to Oman for a three-week training trip to get ready for the upcoming competitions. Unfortunately, we missed the peak season a bit, and the conditions didn't turn out to be as good as we had hoped. If you know Giel, you'll know that he is like a little kid when it comes to training and spending time on the water. He's always the first one in and the last one to come out. However, on this particular day, the wind was a bit light, and Giel wasn't really having the best session (which doesn't happen too often). So, he decided to get out of the water to take some photos. Little did I know, he is actually quite talented in photography aswell. Our local friend and kite buddy, Ayman, had this amazing old Land Cruiser, and he positioned it by the water so I could do some jumps over it. From a failed training session to a successful photo session, we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks, Giel and Ayman!
